Mike Brewer stuns fans with purchase of “most expensive car ever bought in Wheeler Dealers’ history”
If you’re a fan of Wheeler Dealers, then you were probably left stunned by the latest episode where Mike Brewer and mechanic Marc Priestley acquired the “most expensive car ever bought in Wheeler Dealers’ history”. The duo traveled to Germany to pick up an iconic 1980’s BMW E30 M3 worth €70,000 (£60,141).
The BMW E30 M3 is described as “one of the greatest driver’s cars of all time”, boasting a 2.3-liter engine with 200 hp and bespoke suspension that set new standards for handling performance. Purchased 18 years ago, the car underwent a major restoration to bring it back to its former glory, including a fresh paint job, welding, and a new engine.
Despite the impressive restoration, Brewer and Priestley discovered a few minor issues with the car, such as missing stickers on the hubs and the need for a wheel refurbishment. However, the major faults they found were a cigarette burn on the driver’s seat and the incorrect placement of the ‘M3’ badge on the rear of the vehicle.
After a successful test drive through the German countryside, Brewer ended up parting ways with €69,000 (£59,284) for the BMW E30 M3. Priestley took to social media to praise the 80s classic as one of the best cars they’ve ever worked on, highlighting the effort and attention to detail put into restoring such an iconic car.
This latest acquisition adds to Brewer’s impressive track record on the show, where he has managed to make a profit on stunning retro Ferraris and explore hidden locations filled with iconic sports cars. It’s clear that Brewer’s passion for cars and dedication to restoring classic vehicles continues to captivate fans and leave them eagerly awaiting each new episode of Wheeler Dealers.
