Unearthing Savings: My Car Boot Sale Haul Worth Over £320

Are you a fan of bargain hunting? If so, you’ll love the thrill of finding hidden treasures at a car boot sale. Recently, I spent £50 at a car boot sale and came home with a haul worth over £320! Let me share with you my amazing finds and some tips on how to make the most of your car boot sale experience.

The car boot sale I attended was at the Hook Road Arena in Epsom, London. It’s known as the “daddy of car boot sales,” so I was excited to see what gems I could uncover. Armed with cash and an open mind, I started browsing the stalls.

One of the best tips I received before heading to the car boot sale was from Ellie Macsymons, the “car boot queen.” She advised me to look for reasonably priced items for the family, as well as potential items to resell online for a profit. And she was right – I found a variety of items from household goods to children’s toys.

I came across a Lakeland Cake Pop Maker for £3, which I later found out retails for £25. I also snagged a set of vintage Kilner jars for £10, worth £55 if bought brand new. These were just a few of the amazing deals I found that day.

Ellie also recommended looking for bicycles, swings, board games, camping essentials, and sports equipment at car boot sales. I spotted a range of items like footballs, tennis rackets, and even collectibles that could be resold for a profit.

One mistake I made was overpaying for a pair of Converse All Stars, but overall, I managed to find some great deals on kids’ clothing, books, and household items. I even picked up a vintage milk jug for just £2, which could potentially be resold for a profit.

As I was about to leave, I stumbled upon a two-person tent for £10, a steal considering it retails for £120 brand new. It was the perfect find for my daughter’s upcoming festivals.

In the end, I left the car boot sale with three full bags of goodies and a tent, all for around £50. It was a successful day of bargain hunting, and I couldn’t wait to see how much I saved compared to buying the same items new.

If you’re a fan of thrifting and bargain hunting, car boot sales are a goldmine of hidden treasures. With a bit of patience and a keen eye, you can uncover some amazing deals and potentially make a profit by reselling your finds. So next time you see a car boot sale in your area, don’t hesitate to check it out – you never know what treasures you might find!
