The Fiat 500 has long been a favourite here in the UK, and now the iconic city car is getting a major upgrade. Fiat has revealed that a new hybrid version, called the Ibrida, will be hitting the market between late 2025 and early 2026. This new-generation hybrid 500 will be produced at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, Italy, alongside the electric 500e.
What’s even more exciting is that Fiat is investing €100m to develop and improve the electric version of the 500 even further. With a new platform and next-generation battery technology, the new hybrid 500 is set to be more affordable and efficient than ever before.
But that’s not all – Fiat has also introduced a special edition of the 500e called the 500e Mirafiori. This model pays tribute to the 50 years of workforce at the Italian manufacturing plant and comes in a cabriolet format with two battery options available.
Unfortunately, the Mirafiori edition will only be available in Italy, but fear not – the new Ibrida hybrid will be making its way to the UK soon. Stay tuned for more details on pricing, specifications, and the design of this exciting new model.
