SEE Services Partners with Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust to Support Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Expansion

In an effort to reduce their carbon footprint and promote sustainability, Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is expanding its fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles. To support this initiative, SEE Services is working with the trust to set up electric vehicle charging infrastructure across its estate.

With over 1,250 vehicles in its fleet, Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is taking significant steps towards a more sustainable future. By installing a combination of 22kW AC chargers and 60kW DC chargers in 11 locations across the Yorkshire and Humber region, the trust is making it easier for their vehicles to stay charged and operational.

The importance of this initiative cannot be understated. According to NHS England, emissions from travel and transport account for 14% of the NHS’ overall carbon footprint. By transitioning to electric vehicles and investing in charging infrastructure, Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is leading the way in reducing emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.

Jeff Alden, CEO of SEE Services, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the critical role that electric fleets can play in reducing an organization’s carbon footprint. Ben Slater, Capital Planning Manager at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, also emphasized the importance of having the right infrastructure in place to support the transition to electric vehicles.
