Ineos Grenadier Unveils Prototype Variants at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Ineos Grenadier is making waves in the off-road vehicle world, and for good reason. At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, several prototype variants were unveiled to showcase the incredible versatility and adaptability of this British brand’s newest creation.

One of the standout models on display was the Grenadier Quartermaster, a rugged pickup truck designed for tough terrain. With a raised chassis, larger off-road tires, and portal axles from German supplier LeTech, this vehicle boasts an impressive ground clearance of 514 millimeters and a fording depth of 1,050 millimeters. It’s ready to take on any adventure you throw its way.

Another exciting prototype is the Grenadier V8, a beast of a vehicle developed by technical trainees from Ineos’ partner Magna. This model features a powerful 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine from GM, providing a significant upgrade from the original BMW 3.0-liter straight-six. With modifications to the engine mounts, electrics, cooling systems, and exhaust, this vehicle is a force to be reckoned with.

But the innovation doesn’t stop there. Ineos also unveiled an eight-seater safari Grenadier, perfect for game viewing in the wild. With three staggered rows of seats, custom safety bars, and specialized alloy wheels with off-road tires, this vehicle is designed for both comfort and adventure.

And let’s not forget about the rally-ready Grenadier from Buzz Special Vehicles. This FIA-compliant prototype is set to compete in the 2025 World Rally Raid Championship, featuring a performance-enhanced BMW 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder petrol engine, sports exhaust system, racing suspension, and more. It’s a true contender in the world of off-road racing.

Ineos Automotive CEO Lynn Calder highlighted the Grenadier’s frame design versatility and teased future innovations and limited editions to come. The brand’s new campaign slogan, “Built for more,” promises exciting developments in the years ahead. And while the launch of the all-electric Fusilier has been postponed, there’s no doubt that Ineos has big plans for the future.

The Ineos Grenadier is more than just an off-road vehicle – it’s a symbol of innovation, versatility, and adventure. With these exciting prototypes on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it’s clear that the Grenadier is ready to take on any challenge that comes its way.
