The Cost of Watching England in the Euro 2024 Final: Ticket Prices, Flights, Hotels, and Travel Expenses

The excitement is palpable as England secures a spot in the Euro 2024 final, set to take place in Germany. Football fans across the nation are buzzing with anticipation, eager to witness history in the making. But with last-minute tickets becoming increasingly scarce, the race to secure a seat at the final is on.

Following England’s thrilling semi-final victory against the Netherlands, searches for “Euros Final Tickets” on Google spiked by a staggering 790%. Similarly, searches for “Flights to Berlin” rose by 253%, indicating the fervor surrounding the upcoming match.

For those lucky enough to snag a ticket during the initial UEFA sale, prices were relatively affordable, ranging from £76 to £844. However, secondary market prices tell a different story. Seatpick found that the cheapest tickets to the Euro 2024 final are now going for a whopping £1,700, more than double the price of England’s semi-final game.

At the other end of the spectrum, some tickets are being resold for eye-watering amounts, with prices exceeding £80,000 – equating to around £894 per minute of playtime. The exorbitant costs don’t stop there, as hospitality suites are being advertised for as much as £35,000.

In addition to ticket prices, fans are also facing inflated costs for accommodation and travel. Hotel rates for Sunday night have doubled, while one-way flights to Berlin are now three times more expensive than usual. EasyJet flights from various UK cities to Berlin are fully booked, leaving fans scrambling to find alternative travel options.

For those considering a road trip, the cost of fuel alone to drive from Birmingham to Berlin is around £175, with additional expenses for the Eurotunnel crossing and parking in the city center. Train tickets have also seen a significant price hike, with a one-way journey from London to Berlin costing around £410 on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the financial hurdles, the passion and dedication of football fans know no bounds. From bus rides to boat trips, fans are going to great lengths to make it to Berlin for the final.
