Nissan’s Light Commercial Vehicle Lineup Receives Top Safety Ratings from EuroNCAP

The All-New Interstar Shines Bright in EuroNCAP Safety Ratings

Exciting news for Nissan fans and safety-conscious drivers alike! The latest EuroNCAP safety ratings have been released, and Nissan’s Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) lineup has received top honors. The Townstar and Primastar models have both been awarded a Gold rating, showcasing their impressive safety features and performance. But the real star of the show is the all-new Interstar, which has received EuroNCAP’s top Platinum rating with an overall score of 84%.

Commitment to Safety

Nissan’s commitment to safety is evident in the rigorous testing and assessment protocols that have been applied to their commercial vans. The introduction of automated driver support technologies has helped to improve safety across the entire lineup, ensuring that drivers can avoid collisions and mitigate their effects.

Advanced Safety Features

One of the standout features of Nissan’s LCV range is the Autonomous Emergency Braking Systems, which have been praised for their ability to detect and alert drivers to pedestrians and other vulnerable road users. The Townstar, Primastar, and Interstar models all scored impressively in this category, showcasing their commitment to keeping both drivers and pedestrians safe on the road.

Additionally, the Lane Support Systems in the Townstar and Interstar models have performed strongly, helping to prevent accidents involving vehicles departing from their lane or crossing into oncoming traffic. Speed Assistance technology has also been introduced across the range, advising drivers of the current speed limit and warning them if they are exceeding it.

Occupant Status Monitoring

Occupant Status Monitoring is another key feature that has been integrated into Nissan’s LCV range, helping to enhance vehicle safety and driver well-being. With safety features such as seatbelt reminders and attention assist technology, drivers can rest assured that they are being looked after on the road.

Looking Towards the Future

Nissan’s commitment to sustainability and innovation is evident in their long-term vision, Ambition 2030. This strategy aims to deliver electrified models and technological innovation in key markets globally, empowering mobility and beyond. With a focus on becoming carbon neutral by 2050, Nissan is leading the way towards a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world.
