Exciting Updates for Fiat’s Popular Model – The 500
Fiat’s iconic 500 model is set for a major revamp, with big plans in the works for both electric and hybrid versions of the popular city car. The new hybrid model, known as the Ibrida, is expected to hit the market between late 2025 and early 2026, with production taking place at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, Italy.
The Ibrida will be developed, designed, and tested in Turin, with Fiat investing €100m to enhance the electric version with a new platform and next-generation battery technology. This investment aims to make the electric 500 more affordable for customers, further solidifying its position as a top choice in the UK market.
In addition to the new hybrid model, Fiat has also introduced a special edition of the 500e called the 500e Mirafiori. This model pays tribute to the 50-year anniversary of the Italian manufacturing plant and will come in a cabriolet format with two battery options available.
While the 500e Mirafiori will only be sold in Italy, UK customers can look forward to the arrival of the new Ibrida hybrid. With details on pricing, specifications, and design yet to be revealed, anticipation is high for the launch of this next-generation model.
Stay tuned for more updates on Fiat’s exciting plans for the 500, as the brand continues to innovate and evolve its beloved city car for the future.
