Oxa Announces Third Commercial Deployment of Oxa Driver in Collaboration with Beep, Inc. in the US
The future of transportation is here, and Oxa is leading the way with its innovative self-driving vehicle software. The latest commercial deployment of Oxa Driver in collaboration with Beep, Inc. in the US is set to revolutionize autonomous shared mobility solutions.
The pilot program, named PRESTO, is operated by Beep for the Contra Costa Transportation Authority in Walnut Creek, California. The autonomous shuttles, equipped with Oxa Driver, can carry up to seven passengers and will operate on a predetermined route within the Rossmoor community. With safety attendants on board, residents can enjoy a convenient and efficient transportation service from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Oxa CEO Gavin Jackson highlighted the importance of expanding their presence in the US and evolving their autonomous vehicle software. The collaboration with Beep in providing a private service for Rossmoor residents demonstrates their commitment to Universal Autonomy.
One of the key technologies utilized in this deployment is Oxa MetaDriver, a virtual testing and training suite that accelerates machine learning and testing of self-driving technology. By generating synthetic scenes and virtual scenarios, Oxa can simulate rare and unusual edge cases, ensuring the safety and reliability of their autonomous software.
The success of Oxa’s previous deployments with Beep in Orlando and Jacksonville further solidifies their position as a leader in the self-driving vehicle industry. With additional deployments planned in the US and UK, Oxa is set to continue pushing the boundaries of autonomous technology.
