Turkish Police Seize Luxury Cars from Criminal and Repurpose Them for Field Use

Ayik and his associates were arrested in Istanbul last month, and following a court decision, his sports cars, supercars, and SUVs were handed over to the police.

With an estimated value of $3.4 million, these cars will now be used by traffic police in Turkey to serve and protect the nation.

This isn’t the first time a criminal’s fleet has been seized and repurposed for good. Just last year, a disgraced car vlogger’s collection was auctioned off by U.S. Marshals in Maryland. And in March, a YouTube personality was sentenced to prison for copyright infringement, with his collection of 60 cars and motorcycles sold off by authorities.
